Season Newleaf Prophecy News 12.24.08; So far Destiny's Clans has made a great comeback. There's still a few kinks to be worked out, but other than that everything is excellent. The Clans are all doing pretty well, but EclipseClan needs more members.

Creek streched and moved from the rusted, hollowed out tractor and sniffed the air. The barn cat was gone, so she would go explore the surrounding Twolegplace instead of sneak around the barn. But incase she saw another cat, she would make an effort to seem clean. She managed to make her face and legs clean again. Now, she would set off to explore the places around her. Brushing past the towering cornstalks and into the pavement of the thounderpath, an odd, disgusting scent hit her. It was still fresh, but yet... cat-like. How could a cat smell so vile? Creek padded in the middle of the path for some time, until she saw a large hill, with a river ontop. Creek's mouth was incredibly dry, so she began to trot. Then stopped dead in her tracks. There were two cats up there! She opened her jaws, and realized the black tom was the barn cat! And that vile smell... was coming from the white she-cat swimming besides him. Silent as a vixen, she slinked over to the river. They were both swimming! Finnaly, some cats like her! Creek made an attempt to look normal and un-noticed, and padded up to the river to drink. Cool fluids rushed down her mouth as she did so, replenishing her voice. The white she-cat was snarling at a tom in the bushes, so she just stayed quiet and slinked closer to the river, dipping a gray paw in before leaping in, sending a spray of water around her.

There was more crashing in the bushes as Katydid watched. To her surprise the shadow she watched was leapt upon by an equally difficult to see figure. She frowned, unsure of how to handle the situation. She felt an urge to join in the tussle and start shredding pelts, but that might scare off her new friend, and Katy wasn't angry enough to lose Memoe. With a sigh she turned back to her friend, tirelessly treading the water beneath her. "Well Meh-" but she stopped mid-sentence, eyes straying to the bank. There sat a gray she-cat lapping away at the water. Katydid felt personally violated by the she-cat's presence. She was about to unleash her sharp tongue when the offending cat lunged forward and cannon-balled into the water, sending spray flying every which direction. Including Katy's.
For a moment she sat there, stunned by the blatant lack of... Respect? Katydid didn't stop to think of the word. With an unintelligible roar of rage she dove forward, digging her claws into the shoulders of the she-cat in a blind fury. She pressed down with all her might in an attempt to drown the wretched creature, howling mindlessly the whole time. "Howdareyousplashme?!" She hissed, melding the words together into one big growl. She continued to hold Creek's shoulders, attempting to keep her under the water.

Memoe, who's senses were undoubtfully sharpened by struggling to live without the guidance of a wiser cat since birth, smelt-- and definately heard-- the number of cats around the one tiny area he just happened to be in. However, despite how it may've been to any other cat, to the young black-and-white Mikaelo, it felt- odd. He didn't even realize how many cats they're actually were, living in his area. He wasn't used to being around any soul except for his prey at all. And of course, the one day he meets one cat, a swarm of others are waiting.
Memoe, paws gracefully treading the water now, chuckled a low laugh, much to quiet for anyone but himself to hear. He noticed how Katy got worked up over the silliest things. That made him laugh. It was also pretty... enterainly, noticeable how the quick-witted white she-cat tried to restrain from an utter outburst. A failed attempt of a "trying to hold back a smile" slowly reached from one point of Memoe's face to the opposite end. He laughed quietly again, like the way an optimistic twoleg kit laughs if they fall down. But of course, Katy couldn't hold her restraints back for much longer. As drops of sparkling water flew up and re-soaked the top of Memoe's almost dry head, he saw an immediate flash of white and gray fur. Katy just had to give that other she-cat a piece of her mind. He just had to watch the fight, now feeling slightly entertained by all these cats, because he knew they would stop eventually. Katy may very well have been many things-- things if Memoe had said to her face he would be crowfood in an instant-- but Memoe was sure of himself that she wasn't a murderer. At least, when the other cat does something that's not a BIG deal.

Creek gasped. The mangy flea-ridden exuse for a she-cat was trying to drown her for accidentaly splashing her with water!!?! That was the dumbest thing she had ever heard. Out of the corner of her eye, Creek saw the black-and-white tom from the barn. She turned her head and gasped," Help me!!" before her mouth filled with river water. Her senses flooded over as water filled her ears and mouth. Her paws flailed as she tryed to pull herself up, but the white she-cat was gripping her tightly, and Creek wasnot stong enough to carry more than her own weight up to the surface. It seemed like the end for Creek, her gray body sinking under the water more deeply every heart-beat, bringing her closer to the never-ending darkness of the river bottom. But then she thought it over. If that mongel was still clinging onto her, then she was drowning too!! Atleast Creek would take down this cat she wanted to befriend who had become an immediate emeny with her. Scruffing up her last bit of enery, Creek pushed with her back legs as they touched the pebbly riverbed, and they sprung back up, giving her afew gasps of air as her head broke the surface.

Katy was disgusted by how weak her opponent was. As the gray she-cat's head momentarily broke surface she cried out something to Memoe, but she hardly heard. She was deafened by the tempest of insults swirling around in her head, each one fighting to reach her mouth first. "Rattail, carrionrot, 'coonface," she hissed, using Creek's sinking body to hold herself afloat. 'That ought'a teach her,' she thought between vulgarities, loosening her grip somewhat. The little gray wretch was scrabbling up the bank, breathing heavily as she managed to bring herself to the surface. Katy smirked. "I'm not done with you!," she growled, batting brutally at the younger cat's ears. She didn't have too much tolerance for those her minor, and decided that this particular one needed a lesson on manners. Because she was a master of etiquette herself, of course.
Katydid's battering slowed until she finally just pushed the enemy away in disgust. She flicked her paws daintily, as if to shake off dirt. "I had thought that most cats around here were smart eh'nuff not to mess with me." she muttered, straightening to look Creek up and down. Her gaze was reproachful. "But I s'pose there are those," she paused "Such as yourself who need to be drown'd a bit." A small bark of laughter escaped her lips and she flicked her sopping tail at the other she-cat. "Well, it was nice to meet you." Katy sloshed back into the deeper water, wondering if she'd have to deal with the quarreling pair at the other bank.

Water slosshed off Creek as she stepped out of the river, shocked by the sudden emotion change in the sopping she-cat near to her.
" It was.. nice meeting you, too... I'm really lonely, so it was good to have someone to be around for once," Creek mewed back at the cat, putting out her left front paw in greeting." I'm Creek. What's your name?" After saying this, she jumped back into the river, not cannon-balling this time, and only splashed a couple of droplets back onto the water. Creek was carefull so not one droplet landed on the others. She swam across to the other side, and dove under, opening her eyes to look at the riverbed for a few seconds, before swimming back up and waving her ears at the white she-cat.

Katy's ears flicked back at the sound of the she-cat's voice "I was being sarcastic," she said gruffly, wading shoulder deep into the water. The gray cat spoke again, causing her to actually turn around. Apparently she wanted conversation. Katy growled under her breath. "Creek, eh? My name is Katydid. Call me Katy. Just Katy," she added for emphasis. She opened her mouth again to speak, but Creek jumped into the water. A ripple of irritation hardened Katy's eyes, but she said nothing. She watched as Creek swam back to shore and wiggled her ears, similar to the way she herself had done to Memoe. She glanced back at the black and white cat, wondering what to do with the new arrival. The she-cat was baffled by her behavior. "Well..." she said, clearing her throat. She had to give it to Creek, she had guts. Or something. "Since I'm on such a roll, would you like to be my friend?"

Creek narrowed her eyes in happiness and surprise. A friend! " Of couse! I've no idea what friends do though..." she trailed off, walking back upshore and standing some way from Katy before shaking her pelt in a dog-like fashoin.
"Who's your friend, over there? I've smelled his scent wafting from the barn many times before," Creek mewed, flicking her ears to the black and white cat near them, who wasn't doing anything in paticular. " Katy, do you want to swim with me? if you like swimming, that is." She was hesitant to ask Katy a simple question, as if she didn't like swimming, was that why Katy had attacked her? It could be, but how likely was that? Creek had a million questions to ask Katy, but she was afraid of how Katy would act to that.

Katy gave the newcomer a severe frown "That's Memoe," she said slowly, "And Creek, obviously I like swimming. I'm standing in the water," she glanced at Memoe pleadingly, hoping he would say something to Creek. She was just too much. She coughed, half to clear her throat and half to alleviate the uncomfortable silence.
"Well, we could go see what's happening between them two," she said a bit awkwardly, gesturing towards the general direction of the yet unknown cats. She turned her attention to them, deciding that she'd be curious.

" Mmkay, I just thought that you were... fishing?" Creek replied aquwardly. The two unknown cats were... just standing there, it seemed. She eyed Katy. She had that odd name... Katydid. What did that mean? Was it that Katy used to be a kittypet and that there were twoleg kits, one called Katy, and the other had whined, like a kit would if their littermate was named Katy, 'Katy did...' and the larger Twoleg had said back, 'What a nice name!'
Creek chuckled at herself, for that train of thought was incredibly funny to imagine, Katy being a kittypet!

Memoe had reached Katydid in time to catch her introduction of him. He could sense the awkwardness she was feeling. "Pleasure to meet you," He said in a quiet voice, as he nodded at the gray cat. He turned to face Katy for a split second, then turned his attention to the other cats that had rained on Memoe's not-seeing-cats-record.

OoC// Im bringing in Nemisses and Eileithyia.
"Would you be quiet I really don't care!" snapped a young black tom. The tom walked slower so as to get her away from him. His sister was driving him crazey with all the talk about meeting new cats and getting out of the Twoleg garden they had grown up in. Yes I too want to get out of the garden but sheesh, other cats!" he growled. The tom was not a friendly cat, nor did he like friendly cats, and he did not like other cats period, he did not even like Twolegs, but his sister had convinced him to continue going back to them for food, though he preferred to hunt and kill the little rodents of the feilds. His well groomed black pelt had little white hairs sticking out all over it, it made the grouchy tom look like he was sparkling and he hated it, though he himself could not stand feeling dirty, so he always groomed it.
The white she cat, who like her brother had black peices of hair sticking out all over her pelt, hushed imidiately. Do you always have to be so...so arrogant" She herself snapped abck at him. though she was not rude, but she did argue with her brother. She stopped dead in her tracks waiting for him to catch up, once he started to walk past her she began to match her pace to his. "Other cats would be nice so I'm not stuck being your scratch post!" she said rolling her two different colored eyes. "I mean seriosely Nemisses!" she said they were walking in the direction of water. And she stopped when she saw cats standing in it. She smiled.
Nemisses stopped to. "No Eileithyia, lets go somewhere else" he said starting to turn around, only to get a paw to the face. "Eileithyia!" he roared turning back around, his eyes flamed with anger. He didnt like to be touched, not even by his sister, and he did not want to be near these cats. He prefered a life of solitude to a life of goody two paw cats!

The jogging truly was good for the large black cat. Sure, her long fur suggested that a more indoor life would be more to her fancy, but then she would get fat, and Blackie sure wasn't one for that. Her owner was a great help in that, having secured a gold colored color to her neck with a bell that jingled while she walked. Tied to the color was a piece of rope that was fashioned to act as a leash, although she could easily rip through it with her teeth if she desired. Long, fluffy tail swaying behind her, the little queen was too preoccupied with looking noble to notice that they were no longer on the sidewalks and had taken a little dirt path to somewhere.
"So, Blackie, what do you think of stopping for some water?" A man of about forty or fifty years asked, with no apparent need for extra oxygen. The only two words the she-cat understood were "Blackie" and "water." If he was talking about water, he probably intended to stop by a stream so that he could cool himself off as well as quench his thirst. Blackie was game for that, and slowed her pace along with the secretly balding man. He tried to disguise the loss of brown hair with an old baseball cap, but that didn't hide the gray areas. When he got to the stream, he leaned over, resting his little weight on his knees. He was a really skinny man, with no room even for muscle.
"How about I let you wander for a little bit? Just stay in this area. I need you to come back when I call." He squatted next to Blackie, and quickly undid his simple knot from her collar. He trusted her, maybe the only cat in his house that he trusted enough to let run free. "I'll be only a few minutes." Most of his words were lost on her, but she did know what he meant by letting her wander. She lingered for a moment, watching her owner wipe his forehead with a sweat soaked white shirt. That was enough.
Blackie wandered up the stream, looking for a place to quench her own thirst. She didn't like to skip out on an opportunity to walk around, free, so she would rather drink somewhere away from her owner. When the voices of other cats reached her ears, curiosity was sparked in her. She had seen other cats when she went jogging, but she had never had a chance to talk to them. Maybe today would be the day.
