Season Newleaf Prophecy News 12.24.08; So far Destiny's Clans has made a great comeback. There's still a few kinks to be worked out, but other than that everything is excellent. The Clans are all doing pretty well, but EclipseClan needs more members.

When Fouleye returned to camp, it was already night. It was darker than usual, and the black cat couldn't help but glance over his shoulder every once and a while and mumble a word or two, just to make sure he could still speak. He was very jittery, even when he was in the safe confines of camp. The loners were gone by that time, and most cats were asleep, the only exceptions being one cat posted at the main entrance of camp and a few night owls enjoying their favorite time of day.
The tom nodded to each of the cats he passed, something unusual for him. It didn't matter, though, for he was only interested in getting to Deathstar's den. Should I tell him the truth? He didn't have long to dwell on the thought before he decided that if every other cat at Jagged Fangs had gotten the same message, it would no doubt come up at the Gathering the next day. All of this was figured out before he entered his leader's den.
"Deathstar, Starclan sent me a message," he rushed into his explanation even before coming to a full stop. "'There will be signs in sun and moon, and stars must come together to rid the forest of death.' What do you think it means?" Hardly able to wait for the cold-hearted cat to put in his two-cents and perhaps scold him for not requesting permission to come in and speak, he hurried on. "Sun and moon... Maybe it has something to do with Sunclan and Eclipseclan? Maybe they are going to kill the whole forest?" It was fancy guesswork, but to the best of his knowledge, he was sure he was right. "Frogstar mentioned his clan being weak with few warriors to me, and when Willowstar arrived, I think he requested her aid. According to the prophecy, I'm pretty sure she accepted." He took a huge breath before saying his next words.
"He also talked to Dawnstar, but she looked disinterested. So of course it is only sun and moon. I don't suggest this in hopes that you call your clan to save the forest, but rather for our own clan's survival. If they aren't stopped, they could end up killing you as well as everyone else in Concentrationclan! We're a strong clan, but if Starclan willed it... Well, it might not turn out the way it would in regular circumstances. So, we should attack Eclipseclan while they are still weak, but make sure that no one escapes to tell Sunclan. Without the moon of the prophecy to aid it, Sunclan will be powerless to destroy out clan!" He fell silent, the only sound coming from him a slight panting as he recovered his breath.

Rising from his long thoughts of killing the squirming little kits he saw a double meaning. "Death???" hissed Deathstar, thinking of his name. "We will gather, we will train, we will fight" he hissed pacing the den his tail flicking, too cought up in battle plans to scold the tom for entering his den unanounced. "Loners, rogues, anything but kittypets, they are weak and will be too hard to train. We must train. And the gathering, we will take few cats, Ill take my apprentice and you. The others shall defend the camp. Emence training must begin at once, every cat must be stronger then they already are!! I will not be destroyed, and nor will my clan. If they think we will let them destroy us they shall be severely punished for they're hair brained ideas. We shall masacre any clan trying to attack us. We will rise above them and be superior where we belong!" his plans came out in a deadly icy tone. "The gathering is soon." he growled. "They wouldnt dare press theyre presious peace treaty on a gathering night. We will go." he hissed. Deathstar hair raised on his hackles. He would take on anything thrown at him and kill it. His anger raged and his vision grew darker black, the gold in his eyes slowly fading to be replaced by a flat menacing black. Deathstar was angry, and no force to be reconed with. Or so he thought.

Fouleye stared at Deathstar, awed. How had he come to such a conclusion so quickly? It made sense, but... Would the clans really try to kill him? It didn't seem likely, despite the hostility everyone seemed to hold for Concentrationclan. "They wouldn't," he hissed, more to himself than the fearsome figure before him. "But I'll make sure everyone is training, especially the apprentices. What if the mentors are being lazy and not teaching them anything, though? Then what?"
---
The day was gloomy, and seemed darker than usual. Thicketpaw had watched in shadows as the bodies of the loners were disposed of, not really wanting to help. He would have just gotten in their way. He wandered around camp, stopping at the fresh-kill pile, asking himself if he was hungry enough to eat. He wasn't. So he continued, circling the camp once, circling it twice, wishing he were elsewhere. At last he took a seat near the apprentice den, staring at his paws. He wasn't like the others, he knew. He had a conscience, something that seemed to be a joke with the others. At least, in his eyes it did.
A joke. Thicketpaw's claws emerged to tear at the ground at the thought. If that was a joke, was he one, too? Was he even meant to be alive? He wasn't useful to anyone, especially not Concentrationclan. Had he fought when the loners intruded? No. He hadn't even helped clean up. His mentor had taught him nothing thus far. Well, (s)he tried, but the apprentice wasn't the best student. His fighting skills were insult material, his hunting only a little better. With a little sigh, the young cat looked up, toward the canopy above, wishing that light would reach down and touch one cat's heart. Just one.

"They shant" replied Deathstar to his hissed they wouldnt. "If there is a mentor not doing they're job they shall be dealt with personaly by me. I will anounce this now. We will be stronger then ever before" he hissed. "Thicketpaw, must be trained properly. I shall allow Falconcry to train him now. And if Falconcry so much as stops to take a drink before the apprentice is bettered then he shall be dealt with severely" he growled, knowing the cats vain personality. "I will be training Thunderpaw, and when I can't you will. But from this moment on you are to make sure every cat in Concentrationclan is training, hunting or patroling. Since there is only one queen she will not be moved from my den" he spoke in a rushed angry slurr looking over at Coalwing. "There are no elders, but If we are attacked I will need some of the strongest to protect her and our young" his words barely manigable as he went through battle strategies. "Soon. Very soon, just after the gathering we will gather as many loners and rogues as possible, barn cats, anything but Kittypets unless they show some potential" he growled at the idea of loners rogues and kittypets in his clan, but he needed an army and fast. "Come now, you will tell the clan the prophecy" he growled leaving his den and climbing up the tree beside it to sit upon Highbranch, he motion with his tail for Fouleye to sit on a lower limb. "Stop everything at once and gather here beneath Highbranch!!" he spat out waiting for the clan impatiently.

Fouleye followed Deathstar silently, jumping easily onto a low branch. He looked over camp. There weren't as many as Deathstar had said they needed. Loners and rouges? Barn cats? They weren't the best, and who would teach them? There weren't enough warriors for each one to be individually shown the ropes. They might need to be taught in groups or three or four. It wouldn't exactly turn out the best fighters, but it would get a lot of cats in and out pretty quickly. The medicine cat could picture the battle at that moment. He saw himself rushing to get everything done, leaving the weaklings for last, mending the strongest so that they could go back into battle and fight.
---
Thicketpaw's ears perked up at Deathstar's yowl for a meeting. What had happened to make him so... Worse than before? He scrambled from his seat at the outskirts of camp to take a place beneath the said landmark, shaking for some reason unexplainable. Change was in the air, and it definitely wasn't for the better. Anger seemed a tangible thing that was trying to push him back, but he held out against it. Obediently he tilted his head up to look up at the cat who had done so many terrible deeds, and knew that he would be just another pawn in his next great plot.

Thunderpaw wiggled her way back into ConcentrationClan's camp. Her tongue flicked in and out of her maw like a snakes. The foul taste of loner's blood was still fresh in her mouth. There were maybe only one or two bodies left to dispose of. The silver apprentice snorted. Let some one else do it. She stretched, flexing her claws into the dirt.
A yowl from the far side of the clearing caught her attention. Deathstar was perched on the Highbranch, with Fouleye a little ways below him. Thunderpaw's eyes lit up eagerly. Hoo Hoo! A meeting right after a battle! I wonder if any of the apprentices are going to be made warriors! 'ConcentrationClan, I have gathered you here to name Thunderpaw as our newest warrior.' Deathstar's deep voice echoed in her head. This is so exciting!
She trotted quickly over to the tall tree where her leader was. The only other cat to have gathered there was her fellow apprentice, Thicketpaw. His pelt shuddered. "Tsh, what's wrong with you, Thicketpaw?" Thunderpaw called. "Spooked by your own shadow again?"
The she-cat gave a haughty smirk and settled down next to him.

"No," Thicketpaw growled, but it came out sounding more like a whine. "It's just a little bit chilly, that's all," he added defensively. Why can't you just go away, he sulked in his mind. Why can't you just leave me be? She was just another Concentrationclan cat, who would probably kill another clan's kit if she had the chance. He hissed mentally, afraid she might get mad if he did it out loud. "I hope the meeting is interesting. They tend not to be," he said, groping for neutral ground while lying to make himself look tougher.

Deathstar observed the gathering warriors. As Falconcry joined them he looked upon his limited numberof cats and a hiss escaped his mouth. "Everything will be stepped up. Any mentor not training their apprentices will be punished, any apprentice not doing what their told will be dealt with by me personaly, smae goes for Warriors. You will be doing the following every day. Wake up, eat,get a drink, train, hunt,go on patrol. Marking borders is a must. Every cat will be doing their share of work around here! You will only eat at dawn, sun high and moon high!" he yowled, his eyes grazing each of them, daring them to object. "Thicketpaw will be traine dby Falconcry, and Thicketpaw you will step up and be a Concentrationclan cat! Falconcry, you are not to worry about your pelt, I find you grooming yourself rather then training your apprentice you'll be punished severely. And if there is no improvement, both of you will be punished with great severity." he growled, his eyes narrowing in on the two toms. "Fouleye, tell them the prophecy!" he ordered impatiently.
Falconcry rolled his eyes and lifted his head mid groom. Not groom myself? What am I to look as shabby as the rest of these insignifigant mouse brains?! he asked himself, now very angry with the feared leader. Though he didnt dare voice any opinions, for fear of facing death at that moment. He thought himself to pretty to die.

Fouleye listened without much interest. He had heard most of this, and it didn't really apply to him, anyway. Maybe the designated eating times, but otherwise he would just be making sure everyone was doing what he had just instructed. Then it came time for him to share the prophecy. "Starclan has shared with me some very... interesting news. This is what they have said. 'There will be signs in sun and moon, and stars must come together to rid the forest of death.'" He said no more on the subject, letting the cats sort out for themselves whatever it meant. He was guessing that at least a few would think the same as Deathstar had, and jump to the conclusion that he would be killed.

After allowing a breaf moment for the clan to settle down and take in the news and make assumptions he called out the names. "Thunderpaw,Fouleye. You two will acompany me to the gathering" he said jumping down and heading for then entrance, his tail flicking impatiently. He started off not bothering to wait for them.
